Botanical gardens are on the front lines of protecting plants from natural and human-made threats. Resilience against increased temperatures, saltwater intrusion, erosion and serve weather starts with plants.
The Garden is working with local governments and civic groups to select plants that benefit the environment, strengthen coastlines, and filter stormwater, while adding beauty and a sense of place. Combined with extensive education programs for people of all ages through guided tours and self-guided audio tours, we strive to inspire actionable change in our supporters to take lessons from their visit to their daily lives.
