Event Description
Spend the morning getting beautiful shots of Naples Botanical Garden’s waterlilies up-close and personal with a one-of-a kind experience IN the water! This is a small class because the Garden will provide waders for the ability to get in the water and not get wet. At registration, participants will need to give their shoe size so the appropriate waders will be available at check-in. Please wear appropriate clothing and protection for the sun and bring a change of clothes just in case.

- 8 – 10am, FGCU Kapnick Center room 124 at Naples Botanical Garden

Danny started his horticulture career at Naples Botanical Garden as an intern in 2010. Since 2011, Danny has served as the Garden’s primary water gardener, growing and maintaining the waterlilies and other aquatic plants. Danny received his B.A. in Environmental Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2014. During the summer 2015, Danny completed an internship at Longwood Gardens (Kennett Square, PA) to learn new techniques from their Water Lily Curator, Tim Jennings. Currently, Danny is working with the International Water Lily and Water Gardening Society to facilitate this year’s “New Water Lily of the Year Competition” and the creation of a conservancy for the Giant Water Platters (Victoria spp.).
