Event Description
Director of Education and Visitor Experience, Britt Patterson-Weber, changed careers because of butterflies. On this Member Insider Tour, you will find out what makes this singular insect widely captivating as you explore our cultivated gardens. Along the way, you will learn what makes a healthy butterfly habitat, how and where to look for eggs and caterpillars in nature, and why butterflies are critical to ecosystems. You will also learn about lesser-known pollinator plants in the Garden’s collection. Members are encouraged to wear attire for walking, bring a bottle of water, and bug repellent. Members-only tours are free, but advanced registration is required.
