Event Description
This December, Naples Botanical Garden and Naples Garden Club are teaming up to bring you a special opportunity to learn from world-renowned floral designer Michael Gaffney, Director of the American School of Flower Design. Incorporating concepts from science, math, and architecture, Michael’s methods get his students accomplishing great designs and feeling like a professional designer.
You can unlock the secrets of floral arranging in Michael’s “DaVinci Code of Flower Design” demonstration on Monday, December 4, 1pm-3pm, and then make your own design to take home at the hands-on workshop on Tuesday, December 5, 9:30am-11:30am.
Michael is the author of two books, Design Star and Flower Power, and the inventor of Flower Crazy, a DIY flower design system. A lecturer at museums and garden clubs across the country, Michael has also been featured on The Today Show and other television programs. His designs have been used in film and TV as well, and he’s even had celebrity pupils like Cicely Tyson, Harvey Fierstein, and Christina Ferrare. Michael’s American School of Flower Design has locations in 14 major U.S. cities, in addition to Paris, London, and Milan. More information about Michael can be found at flowerschool101.com.
