Come and experience Jacky Lee, a Chinese artist who has won over 100 international awards for creative, art, and design. His program will focus on connecting tea with art and Chinese culture. In this program, Jacky Lee will create a live painting using ink on rice paper, followed by a break for tea time and a talk about the life of art and tea. Participants will have time to talk to the artist and view his work. Don’t miss out!

Li Buran, given name was Li Jian and English name Jacky Lee, was born in Jiangxi Province into a family of artists. He loved art as a child, and he was accepted into China Academy of Art’s sculpture department, but he quit his studies before finishing and began his life in the world of creative and design at top agencies like American Grey Global Group, DDB, and Japanese Dentsu.
As creative director at these agencies, Jacky won over 200 international awards and then started his own creative and branding agency. Jacky’s agency ranked in the top ten for creative and Jacky was ranked number one for creative, design, copywrite and art in the world rankings for best advertisers for the country of China, including Hong Kong and Taiwan. To this day, he is the only winner to have ranked number one in all four categories. Jacky has also been a guest lecturer at top universities in China for creative, product branding, and systematic thinking.
At the time of having great influence in the creative industry, Jacky realized the limits and constant pull between creative, life, and spirit and decided to leave these accomplishments behind and meditate in the mountains to understand the wisdom and philosophy of the ancients and the relationship between heaven and man, feeling the beauty in the land and the freedom of nature. Having lived in these landscapes, he then focused on the art of ink painting, with his heart as teacher, creating and painting by emotion, expressing his feelings of the heavens and earth.
