Event Description
Whether you are interested in attracting more pollinators to your landscape, saving money, or creating a unique sense of place in your garden, this program will provide the foundation necessary to begin to transform your landscape with native plants. Chad will cover topics ranging from plant selection and placement to design and care for your native garden.

Chad is the Deputy Director at Naples Botanical Garden and is the past Director of Conservation and Education. In this role, he oversees many of the Garden’s educational programs, including school gardens, summer camps, adult gardening courses, and therapeutic horticulture programming for special needs students. Additionally, he leads the Garden’s efforts to promote sustainable horticulture and conserve rare and endangered native plants. He regularly speaks to local professional groups and homeowners about the use of native Florida plants in restoration projects and sustainable landscapes. Chad received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, and completed his master’s degree in Applied Ecology from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University in 2002.
